United Veterans Council of Delaware Co. has been formed, to help create, establish and maintain a better Veterans Community for all veterans regardless of their respective Veteran Service Organization (VSO) affiliations.
We hope the two appointed representatives from each of the participating VSOs' will continue to work out any conflicts between dates and times of activities among their parent VSOs' and help promote greater cooperation and wellness among the Veterans' community; by better coordinating activities among its Members and better use of any given VSO Posts' time, and energies spent servicing the community they serve, more efficiently.
It is recognized that many Veterans are members of more then one or two VSOs' and it is in the best interest of all involved, and to make it easier for members to support their local VSOs'.
And in the best interest of the VSO's to better communicate their events and programs to all card carrying members, and their families, within the greater Veterans community.
As well as encouraging through better information exchange to a greater number of potentially new members to enable and encourage them join and participate, in our local activities and support legislation of interest to our Military, National Guard, Reserves and the Veteran community as a whole.
The Council holds its monthly meetings at different VSOs' each month to keep participation fresh, and to help support, each participating VSO in mutually agreed turn.
Meetings are voluntary, and representatives should be ones that are committed, to coming to each monthly meeting to take back to the E-boards and membership of each VSO, any news of recommended support for events, and introduce any projects of worthwhile interest to Veterans as a whole, and the communities they live, work, and are active in, and then be able and willing to submit their particular VSO regular monthly news and events we can post here and elsewhere.

Are Your a veteran who needs a ride to one of the States VA Facility hospitals? Then call the American Red Cross 765-284-3361 to coordinate a ride to the various VA Hospitals.
There are "Certain" days that the AMVETS Van and Drivers are set up, to take Vets to their appointments to one of the VA Hospitals.
It is important to make your appointments as much as possible, on the days they schedule runs for each hospital.
Other days and hours are available; but need to be coordinated through the American Red Cross 765-284-3361 first.

We encourage you to check out some of the Links of any business that supports the UVC and VSOs' in our Local area . And we provide their links. This is not an endorsement of the businesses.
So lets show our appreciation and support them in their business, where and when you can.
A long time supporter of Vets in our area is: The Army Surplus Store; Run by Randall Jacobsen
He does sewing of patches on uniforms to regulation, and has all sorts of good stuff you and your families, Teams, Etc. can use. He also does sewing Repair for all sorts of things and even on fire and police gear. Maybe you need your kids straps sewn back on their back pack or zipper repaired or replaced.
Did you know you can repair a flag? Yes you can and he does it the same day you bring it in.
